Over the years charter boat hire rods have been mostly heavy and cumbersome  due mainly to the rough and tumble hire tackle has to endure on a daily basis, however things have come a long way since the early days

Most regular boat anglers theses days are using carbon fibre rods of around the 20lb class, (similar to those used for carp fishing) which give a much more sporting challenge over the old style gear, and like wise the reels are much more user friendly than the traditional heavy Scarborough reel, (although I still keep a few for the die hard traditionalists)

My hire tackle is no exception right up to date with light weight rods and penn 220 reels loaded with 30lb line,

  please note

my hire tackle is top quality, Penn multiplying reels and fladen  lightweight rods with no eyes missing or sticky tape holding everything together, end tackle is the same the best, please remember this when getting like for like quotes from charters that offer free tackle it’s impossible or simply junk you don’t  get owt for nowt

Why do I buy the best gear only to hire out?

Simple,  all anglers will have a far better experience with smooth well balanced and maintained tackle, and are more likely to enjoy there day and hopefully  return, I find investing in quality pays off,  when anglers hire my gear they are assured that they are using the best, and I expect them to treat is as it were there own, that way I can keep the cost of hire down to the very minimum.

Days hire rod and reel line,   £5 per angler,

Note End gear is not provided with rod hire

you can buy all you need from the local tackle shops in town there open from 6am every day, when you ring in the night before your trip I can advise what lead size and how  many etc.

(But for those who choose I can even supply all the End tackle  for the day)

I will advise you what’s needed you tell me what you want to spend, and I can purchace everything for you it will be ready and waiting on board

Any rods and reels lost over the side must be paid for,  anyone standing on rods must  pay for breakages,
