Boat refit update

I have now completed all the steel fabrication work on the boat and I am really pleased with results the folding seating has been made by local engineers Gibbon Bros, who also made the raised forward hand rails on site,

the folding seating will be a real treat for my anglers as standing up all day on a moving boat can be very tiring on the legs as many of you have pointed out on many occasions, they work just as expected folding upright against the handrail when not in use and although I had eight made only six could be fitted as the two I had planed for the stern wont fit due to awkward angles drat..  the raised forward hand rail is now at the 1 mtr regulation height and this allows me to open up the whole front of the deck when conditions allow giving more room for anglers than any other boat of her size, the forward deck can easily accommodate four, and although the painting needs to be done this wont stop the boat working and I am still taking bookings from people, the only concern I have is my windows in the wheel house swinging leads and glass don’t mix I am still working on ideas to solve the problem may bee you can help me any ideas?

Detachable weld mesh panels may work 50x50mm square.Detachable so that you can remove for maintenance or additonal glass panel in toughened glass.

    Just a thought

Thanks for your suggestions Karl I think the steel mesh would look as though we were going into battle though, I am going to try fix additional perspex panels on the glass via super strong Velcro tabs see if this works first if not I will have a re think.
